HalalBKK is a Bangkok-first directory of restaurants for Muslim travelers and residents. We are not CICOT, JAKIM, or MUI. We do not certify kitchens. We collect public information, label it clearly, and let you verify on site.
How labels work
Verified Halal
Official certification from the Central Islamic Council of Thailand. Look for the green seal and a certificate number.
Muslim-Owned
Muslim-owned kitchen. Often fully halal in practice, but not always carrying a current CICOT sticker.
Halal-Friendly
Offers a halal menu or separate kitchen. May serve alcohol elsewhere on the premises. Ask before you order.
Unverified
Listed from public information. We have not confirmed certification. Treat this as a lead, not a guarantee.
Thailand’s official certifier is the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT). A green seal with a certificate number and expiry date is the strictest public signal. Muslim-owned restaurants without a sticker can still be excellent — they are labeled separately so nobody confuses community trust with a government audit.
